I pull open the shades that hide
A bright world from a dim inside.
Where everything coincides with love.
The minute I pull they glide,
My jumbled thoughts fill up the sky.
They sit atop the clouds the blue provides.
The minute it rains I find my words slipping down a waterslide.

If we should fail, forgetting the things that keep us alive.

It’s a quiet autumn morning,
There’s a cool wind through the air.
The sunrise came without warning
And you left like you were never there.
How I long for the touch of an angel,
Sent down from high above.
The chilling breeze, she would remind me,
Remind me just how to love.
Suddenly, I start reminiscing,
I recollect how it used to be.
I turn around to thank the angel
And there you were staring back at me.
Spirits always tend to disappear,
at the wrong time when life is not so clear.
Then you wake up from your deepest sleep,
Only to find that you’ve been counting sheep.
With the window cracked,
Air comes creeping in.
Up comes the sun, with his mask,
The cold November wind.
